Diamond Power Tech began in a small workshop with a simple idea. Most power equipment in Nigeria that gets declared dead is not actually dead. It has a blown capacitor, a damaged trace, a faulty chip. The rest of the machine is perfectly fine. Someone just needs to open it up, find the problem, and fix it.

That someone was our founder, Alum Christopher. A self-taught engineer with a deep love for understanding how things work, he started by repairing inverters and designing automatic changeover switches. He built motion detectors. He even experimented with wireless energy transmission. Every project was driven by the same impulse: take something ordinary and make it work better.

As the work grew, a pattern emerged. Every problem led back to energy. Businesses losing stock because their freezers went off during outages. Clinics running vaccines on unreliable generators. Tailors and welders paying more for fuel than they earned in a day. Nigeria’s energy gap was not just an inconvenience. It was an economic crisis playing out in millions of small moments.

That realisation shifted our focus to renewable energy. We began designing and installing solar systems, bringing reliable power to homes and businesses that had been abandoned by the grid. But we did it differently. We did not just sell equipment. We engineered solutions. We sized every system to the client’s actual load. We installed safety breakers where others cut corners. And when things broke, we fixed them at the component level instead of selling replacements.
